MintValt vs. YNAB.

YNAB is built around one currency per plan. MintValt is built for money in more than one, and adds it all up from the statements you already have.

Common questions

Can I use MintValt with accounts in different currencies?
Yes, that is what it was built for. Each account keeps its own currency, and totals, budgets and net worth are shown in the one currency you pick, using past rates for past months.
How do budgets work in MintValt?
A budget is a limit for a category, or one for all your spending, that resets daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. It shows whether you are ahead of or behind pace, alerts you at 80% and 100%, and suggests an amount from your last six months. A tight month can borrow from another budget for that month only.
How do I move from YNAB to MintValt?
Upload your bank statements to MintValt, which brings your history in from the source, so there is nothing to export from YNAB. A statement can be up to 100 pages, so a year at a time is fine.
Is MintValt cheaper than YNAB?
Yes. MintValt is $100 a year with everything included, the forecast and household sharing too, against YNAB's $109.
