MintValt vs. Monarch.
Monarch shows every amount with a $ and converts nothing. MintValt keeps each account in its own currency and adds them all up, from any bank, without a bank login.

Common questions
- Does Monarch work with accounts outside the US and Canada?
- Its help centre recommends connecting only USD or CAD accounts, because it does not convert currencies. MintValt reads statements from any bank and converts 150+ currencies.
- Why does MintValt not sync with my bank like Monarch does?
- On purpose. Syncing means handing your bank login, or a token for it, to a connection service. MintValt asks for nothing but the statements you already download, and does not keep the files.
- Is uploading statements a lot of work?
- Download the statement your bank already gives you, then upload it or forward the bank email. The AI reads the rows and categorises them for you to check.
- Can I share MintValt with a partner?
- Yes. A household is shared with up to six people, each with their own login, and you choose which accounts are shared.
